Mitä kulman takaa paljastuukaan? / What's behind the corner?

Mikä on inspiroinut minua tällä viikolla? Vastaus lienee jotenkin itsestäänselvä, sillä se on uusi vuosi. Päivät ovat päällisin puolin sitä samaa mitä ennen 1.tammikuutakin, mutta ajatusten tasolla uutenavuotena tapahtuu jotain.

En tiedä kuinka monella on tapana tehdä niin, mutta minä ainakin mietin uutenavuotena kulunutta vuotta taaksepäin ja mietin mitä tulevana vuonna olisi mukava saada osakseen. Lopetin uudenvuodenlupausten tekemisen jo monta vuotta sitten, mutta toiveita kyllä esitän. Viime uutenavuotena toivoin että vuonna 2013 olisin aktiivisempi taiteellisesti. Tuo toive toteutui, vaikka kävinkin pariin otteeseen keskustelua itseni kanssa siitä onko taide sittenkään minun juttu. :) Tälle vuodelle toivon muun muassa menestystä työelämälle ja todellakin toivon että tuo toive toteutuisi!

Uusi vuosi herättää toivoa ja inspiroi. Se avaa eteen uusia ovia, olipa kyse sitten jostain päätöksestä tai konkreettisemmasta tapahtumasta. Toivotan kaikille vielä kertaalleen oikein hyvää vuotta 2014 ja onnea ja menestystä lupaustenne pitämiseen/toiveidenne toteutumiseen! ;)

What has inspired me this week? My answer is quite obvious - the New Year. My days are the same on the surface as before January 1st but my mind is set onto a new level.

I'm not sure how usual it is that people think back the past year and make wishes for the coming year on New Year's Eve but I do that every year. I don't make New Year's Resolutions anymore but I do wish things for the new year. Last New Year's Eve in 2012 I wished that my 2013 would be more active art-wise. That wish came true even though I had doubtful moments couple of times during the year! :) For 2014 I wish success for my career. I hope that wish comes true as well!

New year rises hope and inspires. It opens new doors - may it be a self-made decision or something more concrete happening. Once again I wish you the best kind of 2014! May your resolutions/wishes come true! :)
